History
Independently, Christopher and Alejandro have collaborated with numerous persons throughout their respective careers. They began working together in 2008 and have since produced multiple audio-visual works. While the core of their collaborations has always been an aesthetic goal, there has been an evolving discussion of the praxis of the collaborative process. This discussion in turn led to the recognition of theoretical concepts that underpin the collaborative approach. It is from these beginnings that the notion to present an academic class sprang. The class will articulate theoretical and pragmatic findings in addition to providing a space in which undergraduate students can explore collaboration, gaining insight from their instructors, while exemplifying their unique perspectives as individuals and young artists. For examples of joint works of the instructors see Collaborative works of Jette and Casazi.
